French National Frequency Agency (ANFR) published initial findings on 5G RF exposure levels from pilot trials
16 April, 2020.
French National Frequency Agency (ANFR) has released the preliminary results of radio frequency (RF) exposure measurements collected at several 5G pilot sites using 3.5 GHz spectrum.
43 sites were the subject of measurements, which showed that before switching on the 5G sites there was no emission in this frequency band, and that after switching on, in the absence of traffic, the average level of exposure in the 5G band was 0.06 V/m, with a maximum level of 0.36 V/m. These levels are far below the regulatory limit value, set at 61 V/m in this frequency band.
After the networks are opened to the public, new measures will test more realistic traffic configurations.
