The Federal Council of Germany has approved the provisions of the minimization of the electromagnetic fields

At the initiative of the Federal Ministry of Environment (BMUB) protection from electric and magnetic fields will be further improved. The regulation will enter into force early in the new year. The Ordinance on electromagnetic fields (26 BImSchV) stipulates electric and magnetic fields that emanate from DC and low frequency equipment to minimize. Such plants are, for example, high-voltage overhead lines and underground cables, as well as transformers and converter stations (substations). In the text approved by the Bundesrat, general and administrative provision of this minimization is concretized.

The decided by the Federal minor provisos still requires the final approval of the Federal Cabinet in January 2016. After that the general administrative regulation to enter into force.
