Greeting from The Director of JEIC
Electricity has become widely used with the advancement of technology, playing a significant role in industrial development and improving our quality of life. It has become essential in our daily lives.
However, there are concerns that electromagnetic fields (EMF, also called as electromagnetic waves), generated by electricity supply, telecommunications, and various products and devices, may have some effects on human health. Many studies have been conducted in countries around the world. Despite these studies, some people still have fears and doubts about EMF.
This is why JEIC was established as a neutral organization for the purpose of promoting risk communication on EMF.
Guided by the JEIC's philosophy and objective of providing easily understandable scientific information on EMF from a neutral standpoint and reducing differences in risk perception among stakeholders regarding the health effects of EMF through practicing risk communication, we are committing to our mission.
Supports and cooperation from general public and the Supporting Members who agree with our activity policy are, and would be, gratefully appreciated.
