Measurements of the magnetic fields generated by mobile electric fans

25 Jul 2024

An increasing number of people are using mobile electric fans to cool themselves down during severe heat conditions in the summer, particularly in Japan, South Korea and other countries. These fans are becoming more and more popular and are considered as a must-have item especially among younger people, leading to the introduction of various kinds of mobile electric fans to the market.
In this survey, we measured the magnetic field (MF) of mobile electric fans.
As a result, all MFD measurement values of the eight mobile electric fans were found to be below the reference levels of 200 µT for general public exposure to MF between 25 Hz and 400 Hz, as recommended by the ICNIRP.
