Magnetic Field Measurement of Electric Toothbrushes Using Wireless Power Transfer System

25 Mar 2022

In recent years, wireless power transfer (WPT) systems have been used in some small household appliances.

We measured the magnetic field density of electric toothbrushes equipped with an electromagnetic induction WPT system.

We observed that the magnetic fields generated by the electric toothbrushes were primarily at a frequency of 50 Hz and intermediate frequencies generated by the WPT system. All measured values of the magnetic field density were below the reference levels for general public exposure as outlined in the ICNIRP Guidelines 2010 (200 µT at 50 Hz, 27 µT at 3 kHz - 10 MHz).
